California National Guard Legion of Merit Ribbon
Criteria: This is the Maryland National Guard Distinguished Service Cross Ribbon. This award can be earned with a V device for valor or without the V device. It is awarded to personnel of the Maryland National Guard, who performed an act of heroism or valor clearly beyond what might have been reasonable expected and of extraordinary nature. In the saving of a life, the act must be of a voluntary nature which placed the member in possible personal jeopardy or harm. If the award is earned with the V device, additional devices would be a gold botonee. If the award is earned without the V device, additional awards are bronze and silver oak leaf clusters.
